Thanks to the Life program of the European Union (EU), a new project is now started for 3 years in two news countries, Hungary and Croatia, with the support of some of the previous EXCITE project (Bulgaria, Slovenia and Ukraine).
The first kick-off meeting in Croatia took place in Zagreb, Vinkovci and Vukovar, the week of the 18th-22nd August. In our program, working sessions with the future national office, our colleagues from EIHP, the Energetski institut Hrvoje Požar, to set up the basis of their organization and work on the adaptation of the catalogues of measures to Croatia.
Then a high level meeting, with the 5 heads of representatives of the 4 communes and the county involved in the project, then a workshop with municipal employees has concluded the week. Each time we also worked on the set up of the transition team, as climate and energy transition is not just a question of figures, technical solutions but also of human ressources and organisation. Thanks to the support of our local partner Eko-Sustav, to the Energieagentur Regio Freiburg GmbH for its suggestions and to the local authorities for their participation.
